Miracles Happen-Brandon's Story

Brandon Myers was admitted to Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in October of 2012.  Brandon had sustained a closed head injury, lacerations and was fitted with a tracheotomy following a motorcycle accident.  When he was admitted to the facility, Brandon was unresponsive, experiencing paralysis along with being fed via a tube.  His prognosis was poor.  Our facility's Therapy and Restorative departments immediatelyevaluated and implemented an aggressive plan.  His youthfulness along with his caring family was an advantage as was the persistence of all the therapists and nursing personnel involved in his plan of care.

Bradon surpassed all expectations of his St. Louis doctors.  He had elevated to a level of walking, breathing unassisted, and talking.  He was enjoying McDonald's French fries while making frequent home visits.

Brandon was discharged home.  The persistence of his dynamic caregivers and the support of his family propelled Brandon to a level of functioning previously known.
