National Respritory Week

National Respritory Week is October 25- 31
On November 11, 2008 Mr. Fields was admitted to our Phoenix Unit for care of his trach and ventilator therapy. With sheer determination to return home, and the support of his family and staff at Doctors we were able to accomplish complete weaning from all respiratory therapy . In less than a year- May 2, 2009 Mr. Fields walked out of the facility regaining his independence to return home. As Director of Respiratory Therapy, Brandy Applegate, I would like to say on behalf of my staff and myself , “Thank you Mr. Fields for giving us the opportunity to care for you and be a part of your Road To Success”

"And I'm Proud To Be An American....

... where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me." -Lee Greenwood-

News from Charlie Battery, Fires Squadron ,2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment(C Btry, 5/2 SCR).Our geographically single Soldiers will return to Germany. One of our own has received word that her son Jake will be returning from Iraq in October. The Family Readiness Group (FRG) is planning to do as much as possible to provide each Soldier with some items to hold them over until they can get to the PX and commissary. They are providing them with a Welcome Home Care Box upon their arrival to Vilseck. Any items that you feel your Soldier (Jake) would like to have upon his return are welcome and from past experience are very appreciated. So here is where Doctors Nursing and Rehab comes in... A care package is being made up for him. This is so that when he comes home from Germany he will see stuff from home. He will come home to empty barracks and a bare mattress only... we want to make it special for him. If we can lets make it personal so he will feel at home when he arrives to Germany. Thank God for his return! One more Soldier home...One by one they will come home!
